Berliner Tobias Freund has been involved in the business since 1980 as a sound engineer and techno producer. He is a founding contributor to projects like the Non Standard Institute (NSI) , Sieg Uber Die Sonne, Pink Elln and Odd Machine, releasing everywhere from Cadenza, Ostgut Ton and Logistic to the Finnish label Sähkö, amongst others.
tobias. twists the sound of the arp line into a more techno place. He adds his own dubbed out chords that hark back to early Rhythm and Sound and will undoubtedly make your spine tingle at 4am.....

tobias. aka Tobias Freund provides the b-side, „Balance“. Since the early 90s he is shaping electronic music as Pink Elln and as part of projects like nsi., Sieg über die Sonne and Odd Machine. Under his tobias. pseudonym he currently delivers his most direct club tools as his contribution here is proving once again. „Balance“ is a slowly building percussion monster showing that it sometimes only needs the smallest rhythmical shifts for an overwhelming effect. Hypnotic, bass heavy, great!

Tobias Freund is producing under various monikers like Pink Elln, Sieg über die Sonne or nsi. for over 15 years now. Most recently, he has made waves with two eps on french label Logistic under his first name, with which he effortlessly put the essence of Techno and House into a nutshell. He did so in such a plain, yet stringent way, it put any self appointed minimal producer to shame. No wonder Efdemin chose him to remix last year’s hit “Lohn & Brot” on liebe*detail. Tobias doesn’t disappoint. He manages to revive the track by sticking to sounds and atmosphere of the original, while at the same time monting it onto a much more functional groove.
